Your design is my passion. Basically I am a graphic- and media designer based in Berlin / Germany. I am doing this for nearly 20 years now, and I love it. Knowing the tools I need for doing my job, each task is a challenge of its own. A welcome and beloved challenge.

What’s Your Favorite Thing About Working from Home?

I love working from home. It gives me the feeling of being master of my time. Sure I have to meet deadlines as well, but nobody minds if I have a break now and then. I am able to be there for my son. And yes I have the pleasure and the burden of having a desk with cats on

What One Piece of Advice Would You Give to Women Getting Started Working from Home?

Don’t cheat yourself. Learn to say no, learn to set borders. Structure your day, set goals, set deadlines and enjoy life!

Anything Else You’d Like to Share?

Since you don’t have colleagues to interact, make sure that you have a good network. Not only good friends but some people who are in a similar position than you. Other women working from home, they will understand the loneliness you might feel now and then. Yes there can be a certain loneliness now and then.. Find somebody of similar profession or a group, so you can chat about the tasks, not only business. And have a good cup of tea with your best mate regularly. Don’t forget yourself.
