What’s Your Favorite Thing About Working from Home?

I enjoy the freedom and convenience of working at home. We have a bedroom that has been converted into my office with all the necessary file cabinets, equipment, and my white boards (where I do all my planning!) When our son was younger it was a benefit of being able to be home for him throughout his school years.

What One Piece of Advice Would You Give to Women Getting Started Working from Home?

Before you even start a home based business, it is so important to be sure you do what I call a ‘self evaluation’. Ask yourself and really answer honestly if you are going to follow the 3 D’s … you will be dedicated, devoted and determined to run, operate and have a successful business.

Anything Else You’d Like to Share?

Understand that when you are starting out, don’t feel pressured that you have every aspect of your business in place before you begin. Just get started and as the business grows you grow with it. Have a budget that you can afford for start up costs, marketing and other day to day expenses. That budget will increase as your income and profits grow. So be patient – stay consistent and you will reap the rewards!
